Birthday Memories
Time just keeps marching on. I'll be 34 tomorrow but 44 the next day. This clip always makes me teary eyed.
I'm glad I have this blog to look back on to remind me of where I was at a particular time in my life. Know that this is a very public view into my life but most is kept in a personal journal I keep next to my night stand. Can't let it all hang out. I haven't blogged as much in the past couple of years. Busy I guess.
These past couple of weeks I've not been looking forward to tomorrow. 10 years ago, I had this dream of moving to NYC while I was working as a ASM at a theatre in Detroit, MI. I was living in a small room. My 24th bday was spent with Derek. We had dinner and he even made a card from scratch. Gave me a picture of midtown Mahattan with "I'll meet you there" on the back. This picture is somewhere stuffed in a closet in SugarLand Tx now. I think we broke up 3 weeks later which turn out to be one of the most dramatic breakups I have had to date. Think pushed out of truck, then jacket and CDs thrown out the window. Dramatic. Anywho..
So tomorrow. My two best friends are coming over. The BF is going to make us all waffles in his fancy waffle thingy. We will have brunch in the new apt with mimosas on the terrace . Its the first time the bfs are coming over. I look forward to their nose bleed jokes and "did you hear a gun shot?" cracks. Its how they show their love. I'm happy and lucky to have them and this amazing caring guy in my life. So I need not be so afraid of this "34" or getting older thing. Chin up, step forward and just breath. And next year - Las Vagas, baby.

Puerto Rico 2011
I had an amazing time! From El Morro and Old San Juan to the Bio Bay, a place where the water glows with microorganisms. Magical.
