Sex And The City 2

I got off early. My friend and I ended up going to Superfine in DUMBO for a couple of beers ($15). Then shopped at the Gap on 8th Ave. Bought pants, 2 shirts- which I was later told were womens tshirts ($110). Met the bf for early dinner at Room Service ($20) and then SATC 2.

Sadly, the second installment of my fav HBO series was disappointing. It seemed forced and at times just plain slow. It was great to see them on the screen again. Some of the eighties inspired clothing was way over the top (love the silver studded shoulder pad spikes) but the story was lacking. It was hard to feel a connection to the older more cartoonish versions of the 2000s series. And once the story shifts to the U.A.E., we begin the slow painful quicksand decent of 2hrs lost from my life. How did a show that clocked in at 30min of stylish girlly-gay men fun turn into something so long and less meaningful?
